We welcome all members to join us on Saturday for some serious fun at DBV Squash as we celebrate WSD with our Fantasy League Finals from 11:30.
The Fantasy League has been played on a Wednesday for the past 8 weeks and now we have reached the final day. This year, our Fantasy League teams were named after various types of red wine. Who will win the prestigious title of Fantasy League Champion?
Will Cabernet be able to hold off a late charge from Cheap Plonk or will Malbec fight their way back to top where they have been for most of the tournament? Come and join the fun and find out who will be the winner. Family and friends are welcome to join.

11:45 – Play starts
15:00 – Prize Giving (court 1)
15:30 – Braai and Party with DJ Greg
Giving Back: The Phoenix Project
In our previous communication to our members, we let you know of our community initiative called The Phoenix Project. This is an initiative where we have selected 6 children who have shown interest and potential for development from Durbanville Children’s Home. Shaun Venter and various other members from the Club have agreed to help coach and mentor them in a squash development programme.
We want to sincerely thank all those members who have contributed financially by helping us purchase the required kit for these children. We will send a formal email to all members with photographs and an update about the project in due course.
If there are members who have spare squash racquets (preferably in reasonably good condition), we would like to ask you to please consider donating those to the Club. Bring along whatever you can donate to the Club on Saturday 15 October and Shaun will gladly put those to good use in coaching the Phoenix Project kids.
