You’re in! We’ve received your entry for the 35th Durbanville Squash Annual Pub Tournament. Any questions?
When / how do I pay?
We’ve received your entry form, so now you just need to pay. If you’ve submitted your entry form before 1 May 2020, then good on you, you’re an eary bird and you’ll pay R1200 (R300 per player) for your team. If you submitted your entry form after 30 April 2020, tough luck, your price is R1400 (R350 per player). Teams need to make payment by close of business on the 25 May 2020. Any team who has not made payment by this time may forfeit their entry for another team. (We need to limit the number of teams we can accept).
You will receive an invoice to the Team Captain email address you used on your entry form. You can pay using Credit Card / Debit Card (via PayFast), Snapscan or EFT.
Where is Durbanville Squash Club?
It’s at the Durbanville Sports Fields. We have a map here
What if my team changes and I need to send a new team name, team players, player strengths etc?
No problem. Send us the details via email and we’ll update your entry. Contact details are here
What are the dates and times of the event?
Play starts at 17:00 on Friday 29 May 2020. Please ensure you are at the club by 16:30 at the latest to get play underway by 17:00. We expect play to end by around 12:30 on Sunday and then there is prize-giving. The tournament should end at around 2pm Sunday.
What is the “early bird” entry about?
We want to encourage teams to confirm their entry as soon as possible to ensure we can plan for the event and the number of people we need to cater for. (And to avoid last minute entries… aaaai Cape Town)
Will there be food and drinks on sale at the tournament?
Drinks-a-plenty. Our bar will be fully stocked! We will have catering at the club over the entire course of the weekend.
Can I sleep over?
Yes, absolutely. You are most welcome to bring your sleeping bag and sleep in a court (or anywhere in the club you can find a comfy spot.) We don’t have beds but you’ll be too drunk to care. You’re also welcome to bring a caravan or camper, we have plenty of parking available.
What’s the deal with the fancy dress? How do I know if I’ve gone “too far”
There are no rules for the fancy dress, but you have to remember that you need play your saturday afternoon match in your costume. So if you dress “inappropriately” everyone will be watching… The entire team needs to dress to the same theme.
We will award prizes to the team with the best costumes.
